Colosseum

Colosseum is a precious stone with an alveolar structure, has been used since ancient Rome as an ornamental stone in construction, architecture and decoration to build and embellish public and residential structures, piazzas and churches amongst which are also important monuments as the Colonnade of St. Peter's Square in Vatican City, the Basilica itself, Trevi Fountain and the fountains of Piazza Navona in Rome. This stone is characterized by a neutral beautiful background in ivory, sometimes varying from almost white to hazelnut and light caramel.

The Flagship Store in Milan is currently Brioni’s largest space in the world in terms of sheer size (700 m² set over three floors). The store is accommodated in a four-storey building in Via Gesù 4, within the boundaries of the famous quadrilateral of Milan fashion. Park Associati was responsible for modernising the building, which used to be the famous old home of Brioni’s tailoring shop and offices in Milan.

In the heart of London, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Marmi Vrech has taken care of the natural stone interiors of 3 prestigious residences. The elegant and refined design was entirely taken care by the Cristiano Gatto Design studio. The use of materials mainly from Italy, combined in a professional and accurate way, has been privileged.

Usage

Thanks to its natural characteristics of resistance and hardness, Colosseum is a very versatile material: it can be used inside and outside of homes, both on floors and on walls. Indoors, it is often used for sinks, wall tiles or bathroom countertops. Outdoors, it is common for facades, floors or pool edges, as it resists inclement weather.

Care

Travertine is a metamorphic rock composed mainly of calcium carbonate, a chemical compound commonly found in natural stone, shells and pearls. Calcium Carbonate is sensitive to acidic solutions so mild, non-acidic cleaners are recommended.

Clean stone surfaces with a ph neutral cleaner, stone soap, or a mild liquid detergent (such as suggested below) and warm water.
